Description General Specifically designed to deliver the modern, crystal-clear, Hi-Fi-grade sound that’s demanded for a tight yet smooth response, Aguilar drops the progressive AG 500 V2 bass amp head. Unlike the valve-flavoured warmth of a Tone Hammer Series head, this AG Series offering spoons out 30% sonic transparency, giving full voice to the natural sound of your bass. Backed up by 500 Watt Class-D amplification, this model keeps things ultra-modern, and the output can be customised in detail via an extremely responsive four-band EQ, which hands you control over the bass, the low mids, the high mids and the trebles. The tone controls are even supported by the depth and clarity of broadband boosters, bringing this second-gen AG amp fully up-to-date. This is the 30th Anniversary Limited Edition. The Aguilar AG 500 V2: Clear, Dynamic & Transparent Bass Sound The entire AG Series is renowned for a breathtaking dynamic range and fast response. Thanks to the high and clean headroom served up by this amp head, you’re assured of pure and transparent sound. After dialling in your EQ settings, the Deep and Bright switches can be engaged to add some extra low-end body and weight, and fully open up the high-end and, since this model has been built for international touring schedules, the AG 500 V2 also features a universal power supply and is able to handle a minimum load of 2.67 Ohms, so it can be coupled with an array of speaker cabinets. Refined Functionality Since this is the upgraded AG V2, fresh from the Aguilar Cabinet Suite, it also offers the modern bassist some fresh options. Whether you’re in the rehearsal space, playing live or working in the studio, the improved Cabinet Suite software backs you up with specially developed SL/DS cabinet IRs as well as user-IRs that can be shaped and moulded to complete a personalised profile. The two XLR outputs, meanwhile, can be used for your monitor mix and to send a pre-EQ signal to the PA at the same time. This tight and streamlined amp head even comes fitted with an AUX input and headphone output supported by a mix control pot, so you can even practise in privacy and jam along to backing tracks.
