This includes the reinforcing mesh, pool steel fencing, glass fencing, and metal ladders.For fiberglass pools, conductive fittings must be bonded within arm’s reach of the pool’s edge if either point 1 or point 2 is applicable, and if exposed conductive parts of electrical equipment are installed within the pool zones (within 3.5 meters). If the exposed electrical equipment, such as the pump motor or light fittings, is situated more than 3.5 meters from the edge of the fiberglass pool, there is no requirement to bond conductive components.
